Health & Safety Policy
Border Traffic Service Ltd are committed to discharging our obligations under the Health & Safety at Work Etc Act 1974, the Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999 and all other relevant statutory legislation.
We will seek to provide a healthy & safe working environment for all of our employees and will endeavour to ensure the safety of all others who could be forseeably affected by activities under our control.
To ensure the company & our employees are all kept up to date with current legislation, the company is assisted with our policy by our External Safety Consultants, ‘NFU Mutual Risk Management Services’, who provide the business with a full ‘risk management service’. This includes regular meetings with the staff for group ‘Tool Box’ discussions on various topics relating to our industry. The group discussions are an efficient way of ensuring that the staff understand each topic and are involved in the process of eliminating the everyday risks they could encounter.
Staff Training
Border Traffic Service Ltd use various local training suppliers to keep all our staff from our workshop technicians, forklift operatives through to our LGV drivers, fully updated & trained to the highest level.
Our LGV drivers have all carried out a NVQ Level 2 in Carry & Deliver Goods and are currently doing periodic training towards the CPC qualifications which they require by September 2014.
